When buying into a franchise, you never quite know what to expect. Cornel Pentz knows this all too well from his experience with Rent a Bladder. He found their workflow to be less efficient than he liked and sought to make a change with Booqable. He has since been able to create an optimized workflow that meets his needs.
You may have wondered what happens to the water when you drain a swimming pool. Of course, most probably goes to waste, but there are companies out there who strive to minimize this waste. Rent a Bladder is one of the most prominent in South Africa and aims to provide outstanding service tailored to its customers’ needs.
Rent a Bladder South
Cornel Pentz bought into the Rent a Bladder franchise in February 2020, just before South Africa went into lockdown. He opened a new location on the Eastern side of Johannesburg, intending to expand the serviceable footprint of the brand. As you will find out, he was able to achieve this and much more despite lockdown measures.
Rent a Bladder rents out collapsable water storage reservoirs to customers in various capacities. The idea behind them is to provide temporary storage for clients looking to do maintenance and repairs that involve large volumes of water. They are mainly utilized to minimize water loss when customers drain their swimming pools or get rid of water.
As part of their service, customers are offered a tailored transaction based on their individual needs. This often includes supplying them with extra equipment for free, including all of the pipes and fittings they need. In addition, Rent a Bladder can also provide free pumps for customers who do not have one at hand.
Keeping track
Something that Cornel discovered when he set up his location of Rent a Bladder is that it was challenging to stay organized. He found it hard to keep track of information that he needed on a day-to-day basis. For example, which client had what equipment, when the products were due back in stock, and where he needed to make deliveries.
In addition, it was hard to maintain his accounts as he didn’t know who owed him a deposit or the remaining balance of their bookings. All of these problems led to some issues with the daily running of the business until finally, Cornel decided that there had to be a better way to do things.
Streamlining management
Cornel found that Booqable was the perfect fit for his service as it slotted perfectly into his businesses needs. He is now able to easily manage every order and satisfy the unique requirements of each customer. This is achieved with easy access to customer information that is documented in an organized fashion.
Effective on-screen management facilitates a streamlined business in the modern technological age.
Now, with proper management, Cornel has been able to ensure that there are no longer any shortages or double bookings. He believes it has benefited not only the internal management of the business but also the customer experience. Both of which he has strived to excel at from the very beginning.
Growing demand
Since opening his location in early 2020, Cornel has been able to grow the capacity of Rent a Bladder South from 70,000 liters per day to over 1.5 million liters a day. He has seen demand for the products he offers skyrocket over the past two years with fantastic market uptake.
This has been fuelled in part by the level of customer service he can provide with Booqable. For example, he has been able to ensure scheduling is up-to-date and flexible depending on weather conditions. Additionally, he has been able to meet the needs of his customers, whether they are big or small, thanks to the clear overview Booqable gives him over his customers and inventory.
