Giulia Josè Conte started Klubhunts by selling unique vintage objects, then noticed a gap in the market: it was difficult to find one-of-a-kind vintage pieces available specifically for rent. She set aside part of her collection and made it available for event and photo shoot rentals instead of selling it outright. Today she runs the business solo, handling everything from sourcing pieces to answering client emails herself.
Her customers are mostly wedding planners, event planners, people planning private parties, store owners, photographers, videographers, and set designers, all looking for a setting that doesn’t look like everyone else’s. Before Booqable, Giulia managed all of this with a PDF catalog created in Canva and a long chain of emails.
It worked, but it wasn’t built for a growing rental business. She moved her rental management to Booqable, using the Booking Page and product tags to turn a static catalog into something clients could actually shop.
An online catalog clients can actually use
Giulia’s biggest challenge before Booqable was building an interactive catalog for clients. A PDF could showcase her vintage pieces, but clients couldn’t check availability, choose dates, or see pricing without first sending back-and-forth emails. For a one-person event rental business, that back-and-forth communication adds up quickly.
Booqable’s Booking Page solved this by turning her inventory into a live, browsable catalog. Any object she adds or updates in the back office appears automatically on the page, so clients always see what’s actually available. They can add items to a cart and choose their rental dates directly, without waiting for Giulia to reply.
For Klubhunts, this means:
-
Clients can browse Giulia’s full collection and build an order without emailing back and forth first.
-
The Booking Page stays current with her inventory, since updates in the back office automatically appear for clients.
-
Clients booking multiple days can clearly see the total cost of their order before they commit.
Giulia pointed out that being able to see the total cost of a multi-day booking makes a real difference for her clients, since events and photo shoots often require pieces for more than a single day.
That clarity means fewer questions about pricing and fewer emails just to confirm a quote. What used to take a video call to explain now appears on the screen before a client even reaches out.
Using tags for a growing vintage collection
Vintage inventory doesn’t sort itself. With pieces ranging from small tabletop objects to large furniture, Giulia needed a way to keep her collection organized as it grew, both for managing the back office and for helping clients find the right look for an event.
Tags turned out to be her favorite Booqable feature. She can label and categorize products in the back office, then filter through them quickly when managing inventory or pulling pieces for a shoot. For clients, tags make it easier to find the right style or category without scrolling through the entire collection.
Tags have given Klubhunts:
-
A quick way to filter a large, mixed inventory of small and large vintage pieces in the back office.
-
An easier browsing experience for clients looking for a specific style or category for their event.
-
A system that can continue scaling as the collection grows without becoming difficult to manage.
For a one-person team, that filtering does the work Giulia doesn’t have time to do manually for every inquiry. It’s the difference between searching through a catalog by hand and finding exactly what fits in just a few clicks.
What’s next for Klubhunts
Giulia sees rentals becoming a core part of Klubhunts rather than just a side offering, with the brand expanding into more stores and larger collaborations over time. With her Booking Page handling browsing and checkout, and tags keeping her collection organized as it expands, she’s set up to grow that side of the business without losing the one-of-a-kind feel that got her started.
